Description

2004 Mazdaspeed Miata, 119K Miles

***** READ THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION COMPLETELY *****

2004 Mazdaspeed Miata with 119k miles. This car is priced considerably below market so understand what you are buying.

The good:

This car runs and drives perfectly. Idles smoothly, tracks straight, shifts into all gears without noise (clutch replaced at 105K) Turbo builds boost as it should. TIMING BELT SERVICE DONE AT SAME MILEAGE AS CLUTCH. Interior is excellent. No cracks, rips or significant wear. AC blows cold, windows work.

Needs for improvement:

Exhaust leak: Small exhaust leak at the downpipe to outlet elbow that seals after it warms up. Unfortuneatly the previous owner had soneone poorly weld the the elbow to the down pipe because I guess they broke the bolts. There is the leak. Also one stud on the turbo housing to elbow connection is broken. Does not affect performance.

Paint: Paint is faded especially on the right rear quarter and trunk lid. front lip of the hood is painted but does not match.

Soft top: Soft top is fairly new and correct style but not installed correctly. Works fine but the side glass catches on the fabric a little. My guess is the wire tensioner was not routed correctly. If it were mine, I would have a top place pull the leading fabric and re-install corretly

One rust area on left rear rocker: Shown in picture. Very small area that can be fixed or not.

So there you have it. Again car runs great and has pretty low mileage but the next owner should spend some time getting it perfect.
